FATA: Shaping the Future of ASEAN Tourism

The Federation of ASEAN Travel Associations (FATA) is the umbrella organization of national travel and tourism associations across the ASEAN region. Established in 1983, it represents the collective interests of travel agencies, tour operators, and tourism stakeholders from the ten ASEAN member countries. FATA serves as a unified regional platform that strengthens cooperation, promotes tourism growth, and advocates for the interests of the private tourism sector within ASEAN and beyond.

FATA’s membership includes major national travel associations such as Philippine Tour Operators Association, Philippine Travel Agencies Association, Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents, National Association of Travel Agents Singapore, Association of Thai Travel Agents, and other counterpart organizations from ASEAN countries. Collectively, FATA represents more than 7,700 travel agents and tourism enterprises serving a regional population of over 622 million people.
