Discover FATA’s vision, mission, history, and leadership

The Federation of ASEAN Travel Associations (FATA) is the umbrella organization of national travel and tourism associations across ASEAN, representing the collective voice of the region’s private tourism sector—particularly tour operators and travel agencies. Aligned with the mission of ASEAN National Tourism Organizations (NTOs), FATA supports the promotion of ASEAN as a single, competitive, sustainable, and inclusive tourism destination. It works closely with ASEAN governments and NTOs to advance regional cooperation, policy alignment, and destination development. FATA also maintains close collaboration with the ASEAN Tourism Association (ASEANTA), strengthening public–private partnerships, enhancing industry representation, and ensuring coherence between regional tourism strategies and private-sector implementation.Through advocacy, capacity building, business networking, and responsible tourism initiatives, FATA bridges policy and practice contributing to a resilient, innovative, and future-ready ASEAN tourism ecosystem.
